XVI was the best version in my opinion but XV was so scary to me

I know this is old, but the color swaps for her Shadowbringers outfit are references. The greenish-blue one is based directly after the Seventh Hell's attire, the artifact gear for Black Mages in the Stormblood expansion. It even has a purple brooch similar to the purple eye collar piece found on the chest gear. The red one is based off of Red Mages, which she functionally is in Shadowbringers onward, especially fitting given that her overhaul in NT made her a stance character who changes between Conjurer and Thaumaturge

There's also a variant of Weapon in Tactics Advance 2 for the Nintendo DS, set in Ivalice. The Upsilon-class enemies are Marks occupying 3x3, and in lore, are based on FF12's Omega Mk XII. Three models were made, which were designed to grow stronger by assimilating natural materials and Mist. The red "Smoldering Incubus", Upsilon-A1, can be fought as part of the Heritor questline. I have a few ideas for you.

Tyler Hoechlin isn't bad but I prefer the bassiness of George Newbern's voice. Also it's kinda funny how two Superman actors both voice Sephiroth.

Man, this voice direction sure is something. I do like Steve Burton's voice though.

There some lines that are _really_ iffy but I think the VA really comes into the voice in NT, and naturally so.

This game and Kingdom Hearts really did turn Cloud into the most mopey, depressed, monotone robot. Glad the Remake captures more of Clouds true character.

I still find it absolutely hilarious that they just straight-up pit you against the true final boss if you get cocky in the tutorial.

Bannon was kind of jerk the more you think about it, but it is kind of nice to give him some further relevance considering he just sort of disappears after the Esper attack. Though I do think the "unequip party" guy should be closer to the exit than that since he's slightly out of the way here. Especially after you get a bunch of other characters walking around potentially blocking your path to him.

Full on agree that Dissidia connected all the disparate fans into learning and growing to love the all the different characters of the franchise. One extra point I would add for how revolutionary Dissidia was it using voiced intro dialogues for every character. It made every new battle a treat because you got to hear your favorite characters react to other. That's a model that was popularized by Mortal Kombat 9...3 years after Dissidia, and it is still used by MK9 and is regarded as one of their standout features.

Now this looks better. Not to mention this makes more sense giving the situation

Cactuar not just a monster character but more like a mascot character this character appear alot in final fantasy games
